The Concept

"Sakura" is a three-dimensional wall sculpture that captures the fleeting poetry of a spring bloom, immortalizing it in tactile, enduring materials. This artwork explores the profound contrast between the raw, almost geological texture of tree bark against a twilight background, and the absolute fragility of the petals. It serves as a visual metaphor for the perfect balance between nature's raw power and its delicate beauty.

Created as a personal response to the long Canadian winters, the Botanical Collections are designed to capture the fleeting beauty of spring and make it eternal. Materials & Craftsmanship

The artwork is built on a complex interplay of textures. Archival relief pastes and acrylics create a deep, dimensional background, while every single cherry blossom is meticulously hand-sculpted from cold porcelain. The final, defining touch is the intricate inlay of natural semi-precious stones. These gems bring the composition to life, allowing the artwork to catch and reflect the changing light within your room.
